Risk Ident Customer Day 2016
People who are working in fraud prevention, always have to be up to date. Fraudsters are constantly expanding their knowledge and changing their strategies – how can we stay ahead in this constant race?
On June 2nd, Risk Ident hosted its first customer day: an event to show our customers new developments and exciting innovations in fraud prevention. But it was also an opportunity to encourage conversation in a collaborative, confidential environment, sharing views and experiences in the fight against fraud. Hosted at The “Clouds” in Hamburg, not did it offer the participants a stunning view over the city, but also a chance to take part in roundtables and listen to exclusive presentations.
The topics varied from account takeover, a form of fraud whose presence is constantly increasing and can cause immense damage; along with “feature engineering”, an important requirement for successful use of machine learning against online fraud. The central questions of the roundtables focused on “How do you best spot fraud” and “How do you measure the success of your fraud prevention”, which led to an extremely lively discussion in the afternoon!
