Risk Ident hosts ‘FinTech Hamburg’

Risk Ident hosts ‘FinTech Hamburg’

For FinTech specialists in Germany, there was only one place to be on 18th August: Risk Ident HQ near Speicherstadt in Hamburg.

Members of the meetup group “FinTech Hamburg”(find them on Facebook) come together regularly in different locations. More than 60 of them – people working at start-ups as well as at banks, credit card issuers or business consultancies – congregated at the Risk Ident offices for the latest meetup.

Attendees were able to meet and greet other FinTech enthusiasts and learn specifically about two start-ups, who presented learnings from current projects and trends. First up was Moritz Königbüscher who explored different types of online fraud and strategies to detect them. Following Moritz was Max Pumperla, who is working with collectAI, gave interesting insights about the use of artificial intelligence for efficient debt collection.

The presentations were followed by exciting debates among attendees, each sharing views on the modern fraud problem and how we can work collectively to stop fraudsters in their tracks. And of course the event ended with some of Hamburg’s famous pale ale – which was arguably the biggest hit of the day!.

We want to thank everyone who joined us in Hamburg and we’re already looking forward to the next meetup! Keep checking in on our blog for details of future events.
